Feliza Castro founded The Healing Clinic to be that presence in Illinois’ medical cannabis history, and this archive preserves the original stories, photographs, and community efforts behind that work.

Restored from The Healing Clinic’s early years, these pages document what happened behind the headlines. Castro and her team helped patients navigate an unfamiliar system and brought communities together to learn. Castro personally testified before lawmakers in Springfield on behalf of suffering Illinois citizens who deserved access to medical cannabis, and organized hundreds of patient petitions on behalf of those still excluded from care.
